I believe that truth, intimacy and vulnerability are all very much related. Intimacy is about truly sharing yourself with someone else.  To have true intimacy in a relationship requires vulnerability. And vulnerability is about showing up, being seen, and being brave, as Dr Brené Brown says. Many people think that if they tell the absolute truth about themselves, it will tear apart a relationship or hurt other people. The actual truth is that if we don’t say what we’re feeling  that’s what tears apart relationships creates distance, communication issues and leads to sadness, depression, and disconnection.

So, if you want to have amazing relationships with the people you love, it takes courage; and the bravest thing you can do is be vulnerable and share your true self.

I hope you have a fantastic day!!

Wholeheartedly,
Satu

Someone sent me this amazing video yesterday (thank you!)  - acrobats from Cirque de Soleil - so beautiful. I was blown away not only by the strength and grace and beauty of the two people in it, but also by the unwavering trust they have in each other. The narrative about trust speaks to letting go - to stop worrying, relax a part of our minds to focus on what is in front of us. We usually brace ourselves to be let down, to worry and not trust. Trust is our relationship to the unknown, the knowing and realizing that we are not able to control everything.  It's not easy. But, so worth it and so extraordinary if you can get there. Who can you trust? How can you grow?

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do."

 - Dr. Brené Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection

I love this quote! It is so true. Our story is who we are and when we own it and show our true selves, great things happen. When we are brave and vulnerable, then we reap the rewards of loving ourselves, truly connecting with others and getting to a place of worthiness.

This month seems to be the month of  Brené Brown for me. Since I met her last week, I am so inspired and excited about the work she is doing and how she is bringing into the mainstream what I have been doing in my life and with clients in my practice. I want everyone to hear and know what she is about. I embrace her ideas and her way of being. She is an inspiration and I am proud to be her "Rush Friend" (inside joke :)

So, you will probably hear more about Brené Brown from me. And I will continue to rave about her until everyone I know and whom they know will have heard of the exciting work that is happening in this field!

Have a fantastic day!!
